Mrs Rosemary Raney Dicob
September 18, 1927 - May 25, 2026
Rosemary Raney Dicob, age 98, from Glendale, Arizona passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026. Rosemary was born in Washington, Indiana, September 18, 1927 to Leo Raney and Ethel Mattingley Raney. She was the third of 10 children. The family moved to Glendale, AZ around 1934, eventually building the Raney Ranch. Rosemary met and married Sgt.(USAF) Gilbert Dicob in 1948. Gilbert chose a career in the Air Force and with Rosemary at his side began a life of world travel. Rosemary was a homemaker as well as a Girl Scout leader, and part-time substitute teacher. She delved into the history and local interests of each of the many locations the Air Force assigned them to, making sure she and the family took advantage of the unique history of each. She was adventurous and brave, never afraid to take on life's challenges with her kids through Gilbert's many deployments. In the summer of 1964 she drove herself and her three kids from Dover, Delaware to Glendale Arizona. Camping in the family station wagon at truck stops for safety (and the facilities) she arrived within 4 days, driving the entire way by herself. She was always one to say yes to spontaneous adventures and wanted her home to be the gathering spot for her kids and all of their friends. Later in life, generations would gather in her home in Glendale for big meals and long nights playing dominos. She demonstrated her fierce love for her family every day.
She and Gilbert were married for 75 years. He preceded her in death, passing away April 2023. They had four children, Gilbert F Dicob II, (deceased in infancy) Cecilia P Dicob, L David Dicob, and Catherine M Dicob (Mitchell), four grandchildren, Matthew (Kari) Dicob, Sarah (Ben) Cotting, Elizabeth (Matt) Hays, and Jenna Dicob, and 10 great grandchildren, Mason, Brailyn and Madison Dicob, Will, Reid, Chase, Oliver and Timothy Cotting, and Gemma and Arthur Hays. Rosemary leaves a legacy of tenacity, percerverance, love of adventure and most of all a love and dedication to her family. She is incredibly loved and missed.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.
